Interested in resources to help you start, grow or exit your business? You're in luck. Highlighting service providers, co-working facilities, and more, the expo will provide you with the information you need to do just that, as well as provide you with information about the many higher education offerings in the area.
There's also no doubt that developers and designers are high in demand. To help bridge the connections between the organizations who seek them and those who have time and availability to do the work (either freelance or full time), we're enabling freelancers and service providers offering their services to take part in the expo, as well as organizations who are looking to hire them.
There's no charge to participate for attendees or organizations (other than your D.O.F. registration). For more information on how to participate, visit the Expo/Job Fair/DT page.
Taking place in the Dome Theater, we'll have a series of panels, talks by experienced entrepreneurs, and demos. For more information, visit the People page. Want a reserved seat for the keynote? Make sure to register as a gold tier attendee.
Unlike ABC's Shark Tank or the British Dragon's Den, when you are in the Dolphin Tank you share your ideas without the fear that the audience will tear you to shreds. Immediately after you conclude a two minute elevator pitch idea in front of four judges and a live audience, you'll receive feedback to help improve your pitch. For information on how to participate, visit the Expo/Job Fair/DT page.
We recognize that getting the word out about what you're up to might be difficult. Accordingly, we're bringing in some members of the media to help you frame your stories effectively. Taking place in a three minute speed dating format, you'll have the opportunity to pitch your story to journalists who are positioned to cover them. To view a list of participating journalists, visit the People page.
We're of the mindset that collaboration and learning is most effective in intimate settings. For that reason, we're offering small-sized workshops on subjects important to you, chosen by you. To submit a proposal to lead your own workshop or register for one submitted by someone else, visit the Workshops page.
For those of you who haven't had the time to update your profile pictures on your website in a while, we've partnered with Pete Waterman to help you get free professional grade headshots. Pete will be on hand for two and a half hours on a first-come first-served basis. Queue up, have a few pictures taken, and we will send you your photos with an unrestricted license. Want a gauranteed spot? Make sure to register as a gold tier attendee.
A place for attendees to come together around around specific subject matters (including mobile and web development, marketing and PR, and more), gatherings are a great place to build relationships, hire employees and companies, and ask questions of subject matter experts.
We are collecting one-page executive summaries from statups and organizations seeking capital to distribute to the investor community (and only those registered as investors) attending the Day of Fosterly prior to the event. (View a partial list of attending investment institutions at the bottom of the People page.)
In the event an investor would like a warm introduction to a startup based on their submission, Fosterly will facilitate the introduction at the event.
To be included in the packet, you must submit your one-pager by 5pm on Wednesday, April 24th, and have at least one person from your organization register for Day of Fosterly.
Need an example of a one pager? Here is a template from Adreas.com.
Wrapping up the day's activities, it's time for you to grab a drink and catch up with other attendees while speaking with many of the region's best startups. With dozens of tables spread throughout Artisphere, the Startup Showcase is open to any self-designated startup in the region.
